Why We Exclusively Install RainDrop Gutter Guards

September 5, 2026

Not all gutter guards are created equal. When Jackson Roofing & Gutters expanded into gutter installation and gutter guards, we didn’t want to simply pick a product and start installing it. We tested multiple styles of gutter guards to see what actually worked.

After years of experience, one system stood out: RainDrop Gutter Guard. It’s the only gutter guard we install—and there’s a reason for that.

How RainDrop Gutter Guard Works

RainDrop has a unique slatted design that uses the natural adhesion of water to direct rainwater into your gutters. As rain hits the guard, the water follows the slats and moves into the gutter, while leaves and larger debris are designed to roll or blow off the surface.

That means the system isn’t simply trying to block debris. It’s designed to help keep debris out while allowing water to efficiently enter the gutter. That’s especially important here in the Triangle, where homeowners deal with heavy rainfall, seasonal storms, leaves, pine needles, and plenty of tree debris.

If you’re not sure how your home’s gutter system protects against all that water, our guide on why gutters and gutter guards are important is a great place to start.

Why We Chose RainDrop

When we tested different gutter guard systems, we paid attention to more than how they looked when they were installed. We wanted to know how they performed over time.

For several years now, RainDrop is the only gutter guard we’ve used that we’ve never had an issue with or a callback on. That’s why we don’t offer a long list of gutter guard products and ask homeowners to choose between them. We’ve already done the testing.

Does RainDrop Mean You Never Have to Maintain Your Gutters?

Not quite.

Gutter guards are designed to reduce debris buildup and the frequency of gutter cleaning, but no gutter system should be completely ignored. Periodic inspection is still a good idea. The goal is simple: keep your gutters clear enough to do their job—moving rainwater safely away from your home.

If your gutters are already leaking, sagging, or having drainage problems, gutter guards aren’t necessarily the first solution. You may need gutter repair before adding gutter protection. And even with gutter guards, routine roof and gutter cleaning can help keep your entire system functioning properly.

For us, RainDrop has proven to be the gutter guard system we trust to help make that happen.
